First impressions are that the blog has a good layout and is easy to navigate. The colours chosen for the template blend together well and give the blog a nice calming appearance.

From the about me section and the MySpace link we find that this blogger has an interesting background as a singer, songwriter and dog walker! Visiting her MySpace or the links on the blog will treat you to a sample of her music.

This is a long running blog which has been on blogger since November 2003 and before that it existed as an AOL journal. Having seen so many blogs fade away after a few months I have a lot of respect for bloggers who can go the distance.

The self portrait photo of the author gives the impression of a fun loving and honest blogger. Reading a selection of posts I would agree that the photo matches the personality that comes across in the writing. Most of the posts that I read seemed to be related to dogs, music or making movies, I suppose that's obvious really when you consider what her interests are! Thats not to say that the blog is limited to those subjects, plenty of other areas are covered as well.

I really liked the honesty of the writing, and reading the posts gives a happy warm feeling. The blog is very much about sharing life experiences, this is a refreshing change as so many blogs these days are about pushing a political/religious message across or just to try and make money. How nice to see a blog from someone in the US that doesn't mention the Iraq war in every other post (in fact I didn't see any, but there are a lot of posts so I can't be sure).

Now onto the bad bits. Well just one actually, its those damn payperposts! I've got no problem with people making a bit of an income form their site. I just thought it was a shame that in recent months every other post is sponsored. I can understand the bloggers reasons for doing this, I just think its a shame as it does slightly spoil the blog. Although there are daily posts I only rated this blog as an 8 for regularity rather than a 9 or 10 as my view is that the pay per posts dont count.

Overall it's a great blog that's certainly worthy of a bookmark and with regular posts I would recommend checking back on a regular basis!
