Blog Review

Good Points -Consistent writing for a possibly interesting story
-Option for new readers to read the blog from the first post to last
Bad Points -Not enough posts to really see where the story is going
-Distracting background
-Not enough updates

Blog Review The blog, written by aspiring author Rae Lavalle, consists of posts that build up a single story. The tale itself tells of a boy going through an epic adventure, but it is still too soon to see where the plot takes itself. While the writing is consistent and holds the reader's attention, I wish there were more details to convey an image.

What I found especially helpful is that new readers have the option to read the blog-book from the first post down, as opposed to having to find the original chapter. Rae also has a section of terminology for a better understanding of her story.

The design of the blog seems a bit on the dark, suspenseful side. In my opinion, the vivid red background may be a bit distracting.

As for any suggestions, I'd like to see the blog updated on a more consistent basis, as it will show dedication. Looking at the inconsistency of scattered posts, I am left unsure whether the author will actually finish this blog, especially since I am bookmarking this site and did not ask for email updates of new posts.

Thanks very much for the kind and honest review of my blog! I have edited my site so the background is more mellow, hopefully this makes it less distracting. And thanks also for bookmarking it, I hope you enjoy the story as is progresses. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and opinions!

Blog Review Just by reading the first few sentences, Gareth Davies, the blogger, certainly captures the readers' attention with his cheerful-yet-very-slightly-inappropriate humor in every post. His content tends to focus on an array of "newsworthy" stories that seems ridiculous in a quite hilarious manner. Gareth also adds a bit of his own life into the posts (such as his recent engagement) and I must admit I enjoyed reading it. The content is plentiful, and will continuously capture your attention. Gareth's blog also includes podcasts, which sound a lot like his posts; basically, still funny and still interesting. Since he updates his blog several times a month, readers can always be looking forward to some good reading.

The design of the blog is aesthetically pleasing. It's simple with a dash of image banner at the top and a splash of color among the background and the words. There are no excessive media that may slow down one's computer, and no ads to flash perpetually at the reader. Simply put, I like that.

The one bad point is that you can't comment on his posts. This may be because of the massive traffic that may be going to this blog; Gareth, after some Googling, (in a non-creepy way...I just wanted to see if he writes for a living, because he writes really well) is actually a journalist for a newspaper.

Other than the lack of comments and reader-interaction on the blog, there is not much Gareth misses for a good blog-reading experience
